5 Ways the WWE Can Rescue Roman Reigns

It was all a bit too convenient: Fans revolt against a lackluster Royal Rumble, the next evening's Raw is scheduled for Hartford, just a quick drive away from WWE's Stanford, CT headquarters, and then reports of a blizzard initiate a travel ban that preempts Raw from airing as planned.

WrestleMania 31: The Undertaker Return Expected At 2015 WWE PPV?

The clock is ticking on a potential return for The Undertaker in WWE. The road to Wrestlemania 31 has begun, following the 2015 Royal Rumble, and the Phenom hasn’t made an appearance since Brock Lesnar broke his undefeated WrestleMania streak. While nothing is official, it appears more likely than not that The Undertaker will have a match at this year’s event.
According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE officials believe The Undertaker will wrestle at WrestleMania 31. There has been no announcement, but it’s possible that some in the company already know The Undertaker’s plans.
The Undertaker’s WrestleMania status has been a mystery in each of the last few years. In 2013, he made a surprise appearance at a house show in late February, and went on to fight CM Punk a few weeks later. Last year, he appeared on “Monday Night Raw” after the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, beginning his program with Lesnar.
After the ending of the Streak, though, The Undertaker’s return is in more doubt than ever. Not only did he finally lose at WrestleMania, but he was badly injured at the event. The Undertaker suffered a concussion and was immediately rushed to the hospital, after his loss to Lesnar.
The Undertaker has been injured after previous WrestleMania’s. He reportedly needed surgery on his shoulder and hip, following his match with Triple H at WrestleMania 28.
Bray Wyatt appears to be the most likely opponent for The Undertaker, following the Royal Rumble. The Undertaker vs. Sting, a match that many fans have hoped to see for years, is almost certainly off the table, since Sting is headed for a match with Triple H in March. A rematch with Lesnar would make sense, but the champ is set to face Roman Reigns in a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match.
If The Undertaker doesn’t return at WrestleMania 31, it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s done wrestling in WWE for good. He could always come back at WrestleMania 32, which will be held in Dallas in front of a crowd of approximately 100,000 fans.
There has been some speculation that The Undertaker could headline the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame class, though that’s not likely to happen if he has a match the next night. Randy Savage and Arnold Schwarzenegger have already been confirmed as inductees for this year.

WWE Fast Lane 2015: Full Card Predictions After Royal Rumble

WWE Fast Lane 2015 follows another Royal Rumble where the fans booed the winning babyface.
That's not exactly the kind of momentum the company had to be hoping for as it pushes Roman Reigns toward the WrestleMania main event. Still, the show must go on. Rivalries have to be wrapped up; stars have to be built up for what WWE has in mind for them at WrestleMania.
Rusev and John Cena crossed paths after the Rumble, a sign of things to come for both men. Before that monster-versus-hero showdown, Rusev has a powerhouse to topple, and Cena has other business at hand.
What lies in store for fans on the first-ever Fast Lane? What went down at the Rumble, what storylines are still in progress what WWE has to accomplish before WrestleMania are the keys to figuring that out.

Best and Worst Decisions WWE Made in the 2015 Royal Rumble Match

Early on, the WWE Royal Rumble 2015 match teemed with potential, but after poor decision-making cut out the contest's heart, it was left to bleed on the mat, suffering.
It felt like Dr. Jekyll was in charge of booking one-half of the Rumble and Mr. Hyde wrote the second half. WWE was smart to tease future feuds and build up a monster in line for a major clash at WrestleMania. Then came the out-of-touch choices.
Despite how loudly fans had made it known whom they wanted to win, WWE stubbornly plowed ahead in a different direction. Beyond choosing Roman Reigns over Daniel Bryan, the storytelling on Sunday's pay-per-view made the climax a whimpering sound one couldn't hear over all the boos.
Flawed as it was, the match had several things that worked. WWE Creative treated a pair of heels very well, to begin with.

If WWE was intent on having Reigns win, it should have kept Bryan in until at least the last four men standing. He was the only other realistic favorite. Having him fall early on robbed the match of suspense from that point on.

The Surprise Entrants
  • Best: Diamond Dallas Page, Bubba Ray Dudley, Boogeyman
  • Worst: No Randy Orton, no NXT
WWE brought in three fun names into the mix.
Page provided the nostalgia. Offering him a chance to hit a few Diamond Cutters made the match more entertaining, giving it one of its most memorable moments.
The Boogeyman served as a way to both highlight how strange Wyatt is and to insert some humor.
Seeing those two weirdos try to outdo each other gave the Rumble some good energy early on. This match was the perfect spot for a guy like Boogeyman, as he's not going to deliver any classics in the ring, but his character made an impact.
And man was it great to have Dudley back in WWE.

Royal Rumble (2015) is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by WWE. It will take place on January 25, 2015 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[1] It will be the twenty-eighth annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Royal Rumble will feature professional wrestling matches that involve wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on WWE television. Wrestlers will portray heroes or villains as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.[2][3]
As is tradition at this yearly event, the card will be highlighted by the 30-man Royal Rumble match, where this year's winner will receive a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania 31. At the TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs event, Roman Reigns returned and announced himself as the first entrant in the Royal Rumble match.[4] On the December 29 episode of Raw, Daniel Bryan announced his participation in the match.[5] On the January 6 episode of Main Event, WWE United States Champion Rusev announced his participation in the match.[6] On the January 9 episode of Smackdown, Bray Wyatt and WWE Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett announced their participation in the match.[7] On the January 12 episode of Raw, Dean Ambrose announced his participation in the match.[8] On the January 13 episode of Main Event, Gold and Stardust announced their participation in the match.[9]
At SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar defeated John Cena to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Cena received his rematch at Night of Champions against Lesnar, but won via disqualification as Seth Rollins interfered in the match; as the championship cannot change hands on a disqualification, Lesnar retained the title. At Hell in a Cell, Cena defeated Randy Orton to become the #1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. At TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs, Cena defeated Rollins in a Tables match to retain his #1 contender status. Later in the event, it was announced that Cena will face Lesnar for the title at Royal Rumble. On the January 5, 2015 episode of Raw, Rollins was added to the match as a reward for bringing back the Authority after coaxing Cena on the previous episode, making the match a triple threat.[10]
On the December 26, 2014 episode of Raw, The Usos defeated The Miz and Damien Mizdow to win the WWE Tag Team Championship. Miz and Mizdow would then invoke their rematch clause, and will face the Usos for the titles at the PPV.[11]

The Jan. 12 edition of WWE Raw returned to the city where Daniel Bryan held two world titles above his head at WrestleMania 30, the company teasing that this year the bearded warrior may reprise that moment after winning the 2015 Royal Rumble.
WWE showed no slowing in its support of Roman Reigns' rise. It, however, attempted to make the Rumble result less obvious by foreshadowing a Bryan victory.
Dolph Ziggler and Ryback, meanwhile, stayed offscreen. Their "fired" status will eventually net them some huge moments, but it's unclear whether that will come before, during or after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
The following is a look at the most likely candidates for who wins the Rumble come Jan. 25. Current momentum, how WWE is booking them and how well they would fit into the main event picture at WrestleMania determine the rankings.
