Sting's Likely Appearance at WWE Fast Lane Justifies Pay-Per-View

WWE Fast Lane emanates from the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee, on February 22, but nobody seems to know why.
There's no more Elimination Chamber to cement or change the WrestleMania main event. The WWE World Heavyweight Championship main event has already been announced for WrestleMania.
Brock Lesnar was advertised for Fast Lane during a recent promo, but as of this writing, there is no world championship match scheduled.
WWE is even giving away its network for free during the month of February, rendering the pay-per-view more of a courtesy.
WWE Fast Lane is a tough sell as a first-time pay-per-view with the biggest show of the year on deck. But the likely presence of Sting quickly vaults the event into must-see territory.
Sting has appeared twice on live WWE programming since November. His novelty remains high as WWE wisely saves him for the biggest moments.
It's clear WWE is headed in a direction that will culminate in a match between Triple H and Sting at WrestleMania. Sting's involvement in the Fast Lane pay-per-view would be a direct result of Triple H calling him out this past Monday on Raw, per this tweet from The Authority.
No match is scheduled just yet, but the official challenge will likely come at Fast Lane. Many marquee matchups will begin to fall in place by late February, but the majority of them will be saved for WrestleMania.
Instead of wasting high-priced feuds on a free pay-per-view, WWE is opting to use the marketability of one of its biggest and newest attractions.
History will probably forget the wrestling show that becomes of Fast Lane. But a potentially memorable confrontation between Sting and Triple H would change a forgettable show into a milestone.
